MARK BUTCHER – DIRECTOR OF CRICKET

Education: Cumnor House School and Trinity School in Croydon.

Mark is an English Cricket Test and County legend and now BBC and Sky Sports Commentator. He played county cricket for Surrey from and gained 71 England caps throughout an impressive playing career. He is a left-handed batsman, and occasional right-arm medium-pace bowler who was also capable of bowling off spin and was considered a unique talent in the game. A former England Captain who achieved 8 centuries in his Test match and Ashes appearances, hitting two half-centuries in five matches against powerful Australian sides.  He was the top run scorer for England in England’s emphatic series win in the Caribbean by smacking 296 runs in four matches. Mark was awarded Honorary Life Membership of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in January 2010 and retired from the game after scoring an incredible 4,288 runs at test level. Mark continues to deliver Master Class Cricket Session in the UK and worldwide both in person and through the media.
