Gary Butcher – Senior Coach

Professional Playing Career: Glamorgan and Surrey County Cricket 

Education:  Cumnor House School and Trinity School in Croydon. Oxford University.

Representative Honours: England. 

Gary is a former English first-class cricketer.  An all rounder who bowled right arm with a hint of swing.

He started his career with Glamorgan, taking a wicket with his very first delivery in the Sunday League. He made a first-class hundred against Oxford University from just 64 balls. His best bowling figures came against Gloucestershire at Bristol when he took 7/77. He crossed over to Surrey where he was part of a successful team, winning the County Championship.

Coaching: Gary has vast experience as a Professional Level 3 coach working in a School, University and the professional environment. Gary primarily works with players at A team to performance level as a specialist coach with over 25 years of coaching and teaching experience. He is enthusiastic and passionate about Cricket coaching and uses his experiences of success and failure as a professional player to develop, motivate and inspire individuals, groups, and teams.
